Honor Flight
Honor Flight is a remarkable organization that honors veterans who served in World War II, Korea, and Vietnam by flying them to see the memorials built in their honor in Washington, DC. It’s a thrill to see the group depart from the Purdue University airport for their day in the capitol.
Airplanes
I’m not a pilot, but I play one on t.v. A trip (pilgrimage?) to the EAA Airventure in Oshkosh, Wisconsin is a requirement for any card-carrying aviation enthusiast. I was so excited to get to go, and enjoyed spending the week gawking at a gazillion airplanes. The airshows were amazing.
